I am pleased to announce that work has begun on my
second Caernarfon Town book, ‘Access All Areas: Oval Ways and Welsh Premier
Days’.
As suggested by the title, this will be an in-depth
account of our first season back in the Welsh Premier League after a nine-year absence
from the top flight. However, it won’t be just a collection of match reports and
photos as, in addition to reviewing the on-field action, I will be including the
trials, tribulations and frustrations that
occur behind the scenes, from the Media side to the Boardroom.
There will be surprises, rumour-busters, and a few
revelations along the way but the exciting part is that the conclusion of the
book remains unwritten as this will be down to how Sean Eardley and his players
and staff navigate the second half of the season. To this end, I hope all the management
staff and players will be able to contribute on and off the field to what will
be a celebration of our return to the top echelons of Welsh football.
The team will not be the sole focal point of the
book as the role of the Cofi Army and its impact on the squad, and the league itself,
will be looked at in depth. I hope to include the thoughts and experiences of some
of the supporters and therefore if any of them would like to put their names
forward to contribute in this way then they should contact me via facebook, twitter
@OvalWays or email: paulevans007@hotmail.com.
‘Access All Areas: Oval Ways and Welsh Premier Days’
will be published in late 2019 and, as with my first book, it will be a non-profit
publication. All proceeds following publishing costs will be shared evenly
between the Canaries Supporters Club and Waunfawr Primary School.
Paul.
